We at LiLY, Lifeforce in Later Years,
profoundly understand that each and every elder provides us with a legacy,
including an untold amount of intangibles.
It is these legacies combined that secure the continuation of civilization…and hopefully improve upon it.
Today’s generations reap the benefits of the endless contributions to their lives made by the oldest of us.
Without them, we would not be where we are today!

Arthur McGee,
dubbed
“the grandfather of African American fashion designers”,
was celebrated.
He was presented with our first Legacies Award by actress
Cicely Tyson,
and he was also presented with the Fashion Institute of Technology’s

by former New York State Comptroller
H. Carl McCall.
